Sales Policy

Thank you for your interest in adding a Two Maples Nubian to your herd! We are happy to help you select the animal that will best fit your goals. Please contact us if you would like us to make recommendations based on your current needs.

Kid Reservations:

To reserve your Two Maples kid, we ask that you contact us first for reservation availability, then send a deposit of $100 per kid ordered. We accept PayPal, Venmo or check. When using PayPal we ask that you send it friends and family, or add 4% to the total to cover the fees. A $50 fee will be charged on any personal check returned for insufficient funds.

Reservations are made based on the order in which deposits are received. A reservation is not recorded until we have received your deposit. When choosing a kid, please make a first and second choice, with the first choice kidding before or close to the due date of the second choice if possible, in the event that your first choice is not available. We only accept two buck kid and one doe kid first choice reservations per animal, and request that a first and second choice selection is made. Buck reservations on first fresheners are limited and conditional on the dam meeting our expectations of quality. If we are unable to fill your order or if the animal does not meet our standards of quality, your deposit may be transferred to another choice, carried over to the following year or refunded upon request. We do reserve the right to retain any animal on the sales list for herd replacement, or withdraw from the sale an animal that does not meet our quality standards. In the event that we exercise that right, your deposit will be refunded. Deposits are NOT refunded on orders cancelled by the buyer. Kids that are born that have not been pre-reserved will be offered first to buyers whose reservations could not be filled. We do not guarantee prices for animals ordered after birth.

Buyers will be notified of the birth of their kid and payment in full is due within 10 days of notification of birth. Prices quoted are for pre-ordered kids picked up or shipped by 5 weeks of age. Any animal not shipped or picked up by the time they are 5 weeks of age will be subject to a $50/week boarding fee, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We encourage you to pick up your kid at the farm if possible so you can inspect your kid before taking possession. Due to biosecurity practices, once the kid leaves the property, he/she cannot be returned.

Our prices include online ADGA registration and transfer to ADGA members at time of pick-up/shipping. We allow you to choose the name for your new baby, but will add sire's initials to the beginning of the name to match our current naming convention. If you would like your kid microchipped in addition to the tattoo, we offer that for an additional $10 to cover costs. DNA is included for all buck kids starting in 2024. Once the buck kid is registered we will order a DNA kit and send hair in for typing. All of our breeding bucks are on file, and some of our does as well, so your new buck kid will be at least sire qualified and in some cases parent qualified. All bucks born in 2024 or later must be DNA typed before any of their progeny can be registered, so we feel typing them right away could save headaches down the road for our clients.

Our prices do not include health papers (CVI) or buyer requested health testing and associated veterinarian fees. Shipping fees are also the responsibility of the buyer. We are willing to work with approved ground transporters and could meet nearby, or travel up to 100 miles to meet for an additional fee. No animal will be shipped until all fees (purchase price, CVI, microchip if requested, and any travel fees to meet a transporter) are paid in full. We have not shipped by air as of yet, but we would be willing to look into it if desired. We are about equal distances from Cleveland, Pittsburg and Buffalo, so any of those airports would be a viable option.

Kidding season is a very busy time on the farm. We usually don't have time for picture taking, and kids take several days to unfold before you get a true representation of them. We know you are excited about your new little bundle of joy and will do our best to keep you updated as time allows, which may or may not include photos.  We live in northwest Pennsylvania where the weather can still be quite cold during kidding season. Because of weather and time constraints, udder pictures on first fresheners will probably not be available until late spring or summer. If udder pictures are important to you, please consider selecting kids from mature does that already have pictures and performance data on the website.

All bucks (mature or kids) are sold with the option to purchase 20 straws of semen back at the per straw cost of collection. We do ask that you refrain from marketing your Two Maples Nubian buckling's semen until you have been able to evaluate his daughters in milk.

Rebate Policy & Discounts

We offer rebates for participation in ADGA performance programs on any Two Maples animals purchased as kids. See details HERE

We also offer discounts for 4-H & FFA members, as well as for purchases of 3 or more animals at once.

Mature Animals

In an effort to keep our herd size manageable, it is necessary for us to place mature animals occasionally. We prefer mature animals go in groups of 2 or more to make their transition into their new home easier. Under certain circumstances we may be willing to sell them individually. You may contact us to be put on a list to be notified when we have does and bucks available.  A $100 deposit is required to hold an agreed upon animal, and it must be picked up within 2 weeks of date of sale. Sales price does not include health papers (CVI) or buyer requested health testing and associated veterinarian fees, or shipping fees. We are willing to work with approved ground transporters and could meet nearby, or travel up to 100 miles to meet for an additional fee. No animal will be shipped until all fees (purchase price, CVI, and any travel fees to meet a transporter) are paid in full.
