Duchess was one of the very first goats we bought when we decided that we wanted to have a registered herd. She had broken her leg as a kid, dashing the dreams of her young owner of getting her in the show ring. So she was made available and we jumped at the chance to bring her home.

She is the highest scored appraised goat in our herd, and she passes on her wonderful conformation to her kids. She's a very tall doe, and while not quite as deep as her dam, she has plenty of body capacity to carry kids with ease.

Duchess is our prankster goat, affectionately known as "Monkey-moo". She can open a sliding gate latch in record time, and will always go let everyone out and check for any left over morsels if you don't put a snap on the latch!
